The centenary celebrations for English playwright Terence Rattigan continue to bring rich rewards.

Hard on the heels of Trevor Nunn’s superb production of Rattigan’s Second World War drama Flare Path at the Haymarket comes this terrific revival by Thea Sharrock of his last play, Cause Célèbre, which received its London premiere in 1977 just a few months before the dramatist’s death.

BBC Radio 3 is making complete classical music tracks available for download for free for the first time, one of the station's most significant giveaways since the station's Beethoven season five years ago. Tracks of up to nine minutes long are being included in Radio 3's new weekly Official Specialist Classical Music Chart podcast.

Some people are amazed to see footage of an old woman being strong and courageous – but not me

A few months ago, my grandmother tried to rob a bank – or should I say a cash machine. Stockings on her head, armed with a shotgun, she screamed: "Hands in the air, your money or your life!" A police car arrived with a bang and two men got out, weapons in hand. "It's my grandmother," I screamed, "don't shoot, she's armed ..." The police officer walked towards me. "How long is this going to take?" he asked. "Thirty minutes," I replied shyly. The reply came fast: "I give you 20, so hurry up." And off they went. Well, 20 minutes to finish a photo-shoot is not a long time.
